        Profile Winston Garland* was a point guard who played 7 years in the NBA, including the Warriors, Clippers, Nuggets, Rockets and Timberwolves.  Obviously, he learned everything he learned about basketball came from his 2 years at Southeastern Community College** in Burlington, Iowa.   * Winston is also the father of Darius Garland, the 5th pick in the 2019 draft to Cleveland ** Southeastern was born in 1967 with the merger of Burlington Junior College and Keokuk Community College Personal Notes I typically google the player I'm profiling, look at a wikipedia page, their baseball/football/basketball reference, and any local stories with fun anecdotes.  I search for other Iowa connections related to the player, and today I found one I had missed.  Southeastern CC doesn't have a ton of famous athletes (Garland, Art Lang, Fred Brown), but I missed one.  Bill Madlock played their, and had a Hall of Great (not quite Fame) car...
