Welcome!

 Welcome everyone to my blog!  I've been a card collector since 1988 when Santa left a pack of 1988 Topps football cards in my stocking and I pulled an Anthony Carter card (long time forlorn Vikings fan here) and I was hooked.  As a child I collected mostly Twins and Vikings, and as I reached high school/college my collecting habits slowly went as girlfriend/school/career all started to matter more.  

However, one fateful when we moved to Ohio left me with a couple hours to burn and a card show available, and the bug was reinvigorated.  Only now, my focus changed.  Sure, I still collect those Twins and Vikings, but I really started to shift my focus to one of my great loves.  My home state Iowa.  

First I started to collect Hawkeye and Panthers, and then started collecting Cyclones.  Then I'd discover a player that was born in Iowa and I would add them.  Then I started digging into the other colleges and community colleges.  Then I started expanding outside of just sports.  It's completely ridiculous.

It's also completely awesome.

I get to make spreadsheets, databases, and track progress on a million different things.  Its a collection that will never be complete, and yet I don't stop trying.  I just love every minute of it.

So, why start a blog about it?  Well, I wanted a place to organize thoughts, a place to put this work where it can be forever.  Perhaps someone will stumble by who will appreciate the information, and perhaps this will just be my little nook in the world wide web.  But its here now and I hope you enjoy it!
