Mitch Keller is a MLB pitcher from Cedar Rapids who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2014 MLB Draft*.  Mitch made his debut in 2019 and started 5 games in the goofy 2020** season.

Personal Notes

Mitch's brother Jon also plays in MLB as a member of the Baltimore organization.  There was a story about the two playing catch in 2020, and the precautions that these brothers took to avoid getting Jon sick, as he is diabetic.  I don't mention relationships in this blog much, in part because I don't want to imply that the person's own story isn't complete without the accomplishments of someone they are related to.  Is Kevin Harmon less of a running back if he wasn't related to Ronnie?  Did C.J. Beatherd play well for the 49ers because his uncle was a gm?
