Personal Notes
So I love numbers and I love seeing the advanced stats that you can now access. WAR is great for baseball, although never perfect, it does give a quick snapshot of value. For football, that has to be way harder to determine though. OL vs CB. WR value dependent on QB? RB value change over the years? Well, pro football reference has a value called Weighted Career AV, and it give a decent snapshot. I wouldn't complain about about how it ranks the Panthers:
1. Kurt Warner (96)
2. Brad Meester (68)
3. Bryce Paup (64)
4. James Jones (56)
5. Austin Howard (35) <-- Well, maybe here.
6. David Johnson (34)
7. Steve Wright (27)
8. Mike Furrey (24)
9. Chad Rinehart (22)
10. Dedric Ward (19)
11. Bennie Sapp (14)
12. L.J. Fort (11)
