2023 Iowa Collection Update: Actors

 Finally, some action!  Not massive, but the non-sport collection grow with the actors section.  Actors are difficult to checklist at times.  For instance, let's look at Gene Hackman.

Is this card a Lex Luthor card or a Gene Hackman card, or both?  Well, I would count it as both, and in TCDB they often are.  But many sets that are entered don't have the actor associated with the card.  This gets complicated with a number of Iowa Connections such as Danai Gurira (Michonne from Walking Dead, Okoye from Black Panther) or Jason Momoa (Star Gate, Game of Thrones, Aquaman) who's cards are often only listed under the character's name. 

So, try as I might, the counts on the checklist are not going to be 100% accurate, but mostly should give you an idea of how I'm doing.  Although having bad numbers hurts me like this Walter Koening card.

Over the past year many pre-1970's sets were added so many stars from back in those days had some big numbers added.  Claire Todd and Richard Beymer went from 5 to 20 cards notably.  I added a few Gene Hackmans, Walter Koenig, Kiersten Warren and Stephen Collins this year.  

Now, I haven't made any goals for the year, but it seems like this year I should try to add at least one John Wayne card to the collection.  Maybe Gary Cooper, Jason Momoa, or Gene Wilder.  Or a Superman (George Reeves / Brandon Routh).  

One last note, it is ridiculous that Lori Petty does not have a "A League of Their Own" card.  How can we have a "Young Indiana Jones" set and no "A League of Their Own" set?!
