2023 Iowa Collection Update: Fictional Characters
Definitely the most under researched category, but here we are. Fictional characters who were from Iowa. Right now I have two characters in my list, and they are Miss Piggy and Captain Kirk. Or, perhaps they are real and we just haven't met them yet or reached their timeline? Regardless, still need to be a part of the collection.
Kirk had the most cards added to his checklist, and most are older cards that recently were updated to tag him. Often these non-sport cards of movies/tv will talk about the scene they are in and not mention the character's name. This will then require someone to do the research and tag them or report them. It take time, so we will continue to see updates through the years.
Maybe I'll make a stretch goal to add more fictional characters (Ray Constella from Field of Dreams?) But I like this list as it is too.
Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) from the MCU is also from Iowa (Waverly). Gotta imagine he has a bunch of cards to collect, but probably not nearly as much as Captain Kirk.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed this! Thanks for the catch! I've got to imagine there are tons of Hawkeye cards, maybe even some Age of Ultron cards when they are visiting the homestead in Iowa as well.
