Collecting a Schedule: Iowa Hawkeye Football (Part 2)

 Let's dig into the next four cards including one I'm unsure about.

2003 Press Pass Brad Banks has Banks in the away jersey.  Our only other clue is that there is a lot of red in the stands behind him.  The railings, padding, and fan apparel.  There is also yellow in those shirts, which could mean Iowa fans mixed in, or Iowa State.  

The away games with red teams are as follows:

2001 Nov. 3 at Wisconsin

2001 Nov. 24 at Iowa State

2002 Sep. 7 at Miami (OH)

2002 Oct. 19 at Indiana

I lean Iowa State on this one, but can't claim it yet.

STATUS : Unknown

This 1999 Collector's Edge Jared Devries features the away jersey for the Hawks and an Ohio State offensive lineman blocking him.  Devries played from 1995-98 and the two seasons he was at Ohio State were in 1995 and 1997.  He had 4 tackles in the 1995 game and a sack in the 1997 game.

The lineman is Brooks Burris, and he was a backup lineman for the Buckeyes, and played in both games.  

So we have two choices:

1997 @ Ohio State, October 4th, 23-7 loss

1995 @ Ohio State, October 28th, 56-35 loss

However, I think this is the 1997 game.  The  1995 Hawkeye jerseys were the "winged" versions:

The 2010 SPx Dallas Clark card features the away jersey for the Hawkeyes and has the lighting of an indoor game.  The team they are playing has a black jersey. There is also a logo patch on the black jersey sleeve.

Dallas Clark played TE for the Hawkeyes in 2001 and 2002.  I believe this is from the the bowl game in 2001 against Texas Tech.

Hawkeye FB 2001 Update: 3 / 12 Games

Finally an easy one.  This 2007 Upper Deck First Edition shows Scott Chandler catching a touchdown in a game at Indiana.  Chandler played for the Hawks in 2004, 05, and 06.  Indiana was not on the schedule in 04 and was at Iowa in 05. Chandler caught a TD in the 2006 matchup.
